Fetal Wellbeing
Wellbeing scans check that the pregnancy is progressing well. You can have a wellbeing scan at anytime after 14 weeks and we can tell you the sex of the baby after 17 weeks
During the scan we check the:
- Size of the baby
- The placenta to see if it is working efficiently
- Amount of fluid surrounding the baby
- Position of the baby
- Baby’s current state of health
You will receive
- a CD and black and white (thermal) pictures of your baby
- a medical written report.
We will also ask if you would like a copy of the report sent to your GP.
A wellbeing scan can be combined with a 3D / 4D scan later in the pregnancy which gives you a unique opportunity to see your unborn baby moving in the womb.
Please note that you do not need a GP referral.
We have a dedicated team of specialists and support staff waiting to help you.
