Annual Gynaecology Check
HealthHarmonie’s annual gynae check is tailored to your individual needs and does not require a GP referral.
An annual consultation with a Consultant Gynaecologist includes:
- full medical history
- pelvic examination
- in-depth discussion where any of your questions will be answered
At your consultation your consultant may decide that it may be necessary for you to have a combination of the following:
- ultrasound of the pelvis and abdomen, the scan exams the womb, its lining and your ovaries
- cervical smear, in addition we can include testing for the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) that is responsible for almost all cervical cancer
- CA125 blood test which is known as a tumour marker for certain types of ovarian cancer combined with an ultrasound scan of your ovaries
There is a fee for the additional services, these will be discussed with you when we arrange your appointment so that you know the full cost prior to visiting HealthHarmonie.
Following your consultation you will receive a written report. We will also ask if you would like a copy of the report sent to your NHS healthcare provider, for example your GP.
Please note that you do not need a GP referral.
