 Fetal Heart Examination

A Fetal Heart Examination scan is also known as fetal echocardiography. There are specific reasons for performing this. It may be that you have had a baby with a previous heart problem or that heart disease runs in the family. You may be advised to have this scan if earlier in your pregnancy if an increased nuchal translucency was found was found during a Nuchal Translucency Screening for Down's Syndrome scan.
