 Pregnancy Scans
Welcome to the pregnancy scanning service at HealthHarmonie, we will look after you and your baby at every stage of your pregnancy.

Professor Mark Kilby MD FRCOG, Mr Peter Thompson, MBBS FRCOG and Mr Bill Martin DM FRCOG are all internationally recognised maternal and fetal medicine consultants. They are audited and accredited by The Fetal Medicine Foundation, London. The consultants are supported by specialists Ms Veronica Donovan, Clinical Specialist Midwife Fetal Medicine and Mrs Lida Debono and Mrs Satwinder Saund who are both Advanced Practitioners.

After an initial consultation an ultrasound scan of your baby is performed, followed by an in depth discussion where you have the opportunity have any questions regarding your pregnancy answered. You don’t need to have a full bladder at any of these appointments and they last for approximately 30 minutes. You are very welcome to bring your partner or friend along with you.

Scanning in pregnancy is used to check the wellbeing of your baby, it is important to remember that most scans are normal. At each appointment you receive a written report and with your consent we send a copy to your GP. Continuity of care is of the utmost importance to us and in the event that you need follow up care we ensure this is arranged for you either privately or though the NHS.

Our pregnancy scans include nuchal translucency screening for Down's Syndrome, early dating / viability, gender and 3D / 4D scans. Please use the links on our website for detailed information on each type of scan.

Please note that you do not need a GP referral. We have a dedicated team of support staff at HealthHarmonie ready to help you.

Call 0121 454 7779 for further information or make an appointment.
